Irvington Middle School

Design Architect / Architect of Record: Peter Gisolfi Associates with Project Manager Christopher Spencer. This project established a new master plan and campus for the Irvington School district. New buildings include 800 seat theater/ concert hall, consisting of a 800 seat theater/ concert hall, gym building, science building and middle school and library. Four new buildings were created. The new theater/ concert hall’s acoustics are state-of-the -art with fully adjustable dampers for speech or music. The new gymnasium incorporates a continuous clerestory to maximize daylight onto the gymnasium floor. As a public funded project, construction was divided into 22 different prime contracts. This demanded strict coordination between all aspects of the project team and conformance to the contract documents to ensure the project was kept within budget and schedule.
