Construction Documentation Phase

CD

The Construction Documentation phase sets forth in detail the requirements for construction of the project. Floor plans, enlarged plans, wall sections, ceiling plans, power/communication plans, finish plans, elevations, details and written specifications are added or refined to further establish the quality levels of materials and systems required for the project. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and other building systems are carefully integrated into the architectural envelope.

It is during this phase that the installed work is quantified and specifically defined. All disciplines within the design team, from structural, landscape, civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing are carefully integrated the architectural design. CAD or BIM is utilized to ensure that coordination is carried out at all levels.

A completed set of Construction Documents is also appropriate for the solicitation of construction bids. It is typical for us to assist with the bidding and contractor selection processes if a contractor has not been selected prior to this stage of the project.
